Bioforcetech Attends ClimateTech '25: Advancing Material Circularity & Climate Solutions
We are excited to share that Bioforcetech is attending the ClimateTech '25: Technologies for Action event in San Francisco on Thursday, February 27, 2025.
Garrett Benisch, Director of Design Development, is speaking on the panel titled Material Circularity & Climate: How can architects and engineers design to prioritize reuse, recycling, and repurposing building materials? This panel will cover the “design tools and technologies needed to create a more circular, flexible, and less climate-impactful built environment–delivering material savings in the short term and enhancing building value in the long term.”
Events like this are invaluable for fostering collaboration, sharing insights, and exploring cutting-edge solutions that align with our mission to turn waste into valuable, climate-positive resources. Stay tuned as we share highlights from this event!
Garrett will be sharing the way biosolids can be transformed into OurCarbon, a carbon negative material that can be added to concrete, polymers, inks and coatings, and more. He’ll share case studies in these industries with key takeaways on how adoption of the material was secured. He’ll also be presenting thoughts that open up the idea of ‘circularity’ to go beyond a single circle. As a technology that instead links two industries together, wastewater and the built environment, Garrett sees the circular economy as a series of rings connected that must be formed, rather than each industry seeking to close the loop on themselves.
About ClimateTech ‘25
Here is a synopsis of the event: “The built environment plays a significant role in climate change and resource depletion, making the transition to sustainable design practices in the Architecture / Engineering / Construction (AEC) industries urgent. This symposium brings together AEC sustainability experts, technology providers and others to discuss the innovative tools, practices and trends that support this critical transition. Panel topics will focus on the tools and strategies to achieve low carbon design goals, support sustainable building certifications, meet emerging code requirements, adopt new technologies at all firm scales, and introduce circularity into the design process.”
