Bioforcetech Installs Four Biodyers in Codevigo Italy
South San Francisco, CA – April 08, 2026 – Bioforcetech (BFT), a Bay Area-based leader in waste transformation and carbon-negative solutions, today announced the installation of four Biodryers in a new plant startup in Codevigo, Italy.
The new system, operated by Acegas Ampa, is sized to process 4,000 tons of dewatered biosolids per year into as little as 1,000 tons of dry solids using a bacteria-driven drying process that reduces energy demand by up to 70% compared to traditional methods.
The installation of these biodryers brings the number of biodyers in construction or operating in the US and Italy to 51. The rapid adoption of Bioforcetech’s technology reflects a growing shift as cities, utilities, and industries around the world embrace innovative solutions that reduce the mass of biosolids without the costly and emissive energy burden.
